THROUGH WHOM SHALL HE THEN LIVE?
by: Dr. Charles R. Solomon
Our trusting Christ as Savior and Lord, and then trying to life for HIm, is generally understood in evangelical churches. However, losing our lives and letting Him live through us (Matt. 16:24,25) is an entirely different matter!
The latter is only understood and appropriated by a minority of believers; as a result, much pathology of the soul is addressed as a psychological or medical phenomenon and subjected to various therapies. Many, if not most, mental health issues could be resolved by the therapy of the Spirit (SpirituotherapyTM) in short order as He has proven over the past 40 years, which is documented in my book, Discipling the Desperate.
Galatians 2:20 and Romans 6 are central in such teaching, with the Holy Spirit's being the Therapist. His illuminating this truth is life transforming (Rom. 12:2), which should be affirmed by churches worldwide.
