In my experience, in and with churches, objective measurement of spiritual growth has never even been a consideration.  Ture; fine gradations of subjective experience are both impoassible and undesirable.  However, when assessed against the proximity to certain mileposts, such as surrender, it can point the way to profitable and strategic study in God's Word and materials based thereon.

Understanding of intermediate destinations can give direction and impetus for the continuing journey toward oneness with our Lord and Spirit-led church ministry.
